At Reclaim Counseling Chattanooga, I specialize in approaches that help people heal from the effects of trauma, reclaim their life, and find lasting relief. Trauma can leave people feeling stuck in cycles of anxiety, depression, or disconnection. Sometimes it shows up as feeling “shut down,” overwhelmed, or not fully present in daily life. I provide a safe, supportive space to begin making sense of these experiences and to understand what’s happening in your brain and nervous system. Together, we work toward building steadiness, self-trust, and new ways of relating to yourself and others.

DBR is an approach that helps you process trauma by focusing on the body’s very first responses to threat. Rather than diving straight into overwhelming memories, DBR slows things down and allows you to stay grounded while working through painful experiences. Many people find this method creates a strong sense of safety as old survival patterns begin to shift.

EMDR is a well-researched therapy that helps the brain reprocess memories so they no longer carry the same weight. For many people, this creates noticeable shifts in how they feel and respond in daily life. When EMDR is a good fit, it can be a powerful way to move past stuck points and find lasting relief.
