At Reclaim Counseling Chattanooga, our work is rooted in the belief that every person's story matters. On this page, I share the inspiration behind the name "Reclaim" and introduce you to the team who will be walking alongside you.
I remember colorful glass bottles on the kitchen windowsill when I was growing up, catching the sunlight like little gems. As a teenager, my mother worked at a factory in New Jersey. One day, she noticed a nearby dump being excavated. With every scoop of the machinery, glass bottles tumbled down the pile.
The next day, she returned and began digging. She found dozens of bottles, old condiment jars, shoe polish containers, medicine vials. Some were cracked, some stained, but each was beautiful in its own way. She brought them home and carefully cleaned them, reclaiming treasures others had thrown away.
Therapy can be much the same.
Childhood. Innocence. Boundaries. Faith. A loved one. Our own confidence. Many people feel that trauma has taken their voice and their sense of self.
A place to sit with the messy parts of the past, sift through painful emotions and fractured memories, and celebrate as you reclaim what was buried beneath the rubble.
At Reclaim Counseling, we hope to create a space where healing is possible and your story matters.
I graduated from Richmont Graduate University in 2017 with a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am an EMDR Certified Therapist through the EMDR International Association and have been awarded a Certificate in Complex Trauma and Dissociation by The Center for Advanced Studies of The International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation.
For nearly a decade, I've been honored by the trust clients have placed in me as they share their stories. That trust drives me to provide compassionate care and to continually deepen my understanding of trauma, dissociation, and the healing process.
I believe that being truly heard is a powerful agent of healing and change. I believe that having someone hear you with intent to understand you and your story is paramount in the healing journey. My intention is to provide you with a counseling space where those things can happen, where you feel welcomed, safe, respected, hopeful, and comfortable bringing your whole story, not just the easy parts; a place that you feel compassion.
I am honored to walk alongside individuals as they navigate the experiences and transitions that bring them to counseling. I approach each person with curiosity, and empathy recognizing that every story is unique. I see counseling as a collaborative process where we can slow down, gain understanding and clarity, discover strengths, and work towards a positive meaningful change guided by the most suitable techniques.
I am passionate about helping individuals navigate their struggles, serving each client in a way that is as unique as they are, and I especially value the opportunity to witness people develop a deeper understanding of themselves and recognize their capacity for healing and growth.
I provide counseling under the supervision of Eryn Wilkinson, LPC, and I consider it a privilege to support each client throughout their journey. Wherever you are starting from, you do not have to have everything figured out. Sometimes, the first step is simply having a place to tell your story and someone willing to listen.
